~Chapter 7~[/I]
Paige was now three blocks away from the Manor, but she was still running. The thing that scared her most was that she was so fine with remembering the past she had worked so hard to put behind her. It was like it felt so…familiar.
“But no,” she told herself, “my parents were so good to me. I already had parents. I don’t need more, especially the ones that chose to abandon me.” Although she tried to convince herself otherwise, the truth was that she was really curious about the Halliwells and their way of life. Maybe even learning about her biological parents sparked her interest because in turn she could find out who she really was.

Leo was standing outside Piper’s bedroom trying to reason with her.
“Piper, come on! You can't stay in there forever.”
“You wanna bet?” Piper retorted.
“Fine. I’m not gonna do this anyjmore.” He orbed into the room.
“Hey! That’s not fair.”
“Well, you said you weren’t coming out so I decided to come in.”
“You’re in. Now what do you want?” Piper said, trying very hard not to look at him for fear she’d look in his eyes and not be able to resist. He always just wanted to help but that was the last thing she wanted right then.
He came up behind her and put his arms around her stomach causing her to take in a short abrupt breath. But she quickly gave into his loving touch.
“Piper,” Leo whispered, “you still have to fulfill your destiny. You can't just stop. Think of how many innocents will die. Think of all the demons that will just run loose.”
Piper turned around in his arms so she could face him. “How do they expect us to just pick up where we left off? How can we just take this Paige girl in and go on hunting evil like Prue never existed?” she was close to crying again.
Leo pulled her closer to him. “I don’t think that’s what they expect, honey. They expect that you mourn and have a hard time, but eventually you have to move on with your life. You can't linger in the past forever. And they expect you guys not to give up on your destiny.”
Piper let out a laugh. “You make them sound like such good guys,” she said, sarcastically.
Leo smiled down at her. “I love you so much.”
Piper sighed. “You’re so perfect. How do you do it?” she said day dreamily, half ignoring his awestruck comment because she still didn’t think she was good enough for him. The other half of her was happily taking it all in.
Leo pecked her on the lips and laughed. “Perfect?”
Piper didn’t answer but returned the peck, but this time Leo immediately deepened it. Lost in passion and a deep want for him, Piper didn’t resist. Leo’s hands started moving up under her shirt and Piper’s were doing the same.
When Leo’s kisses started working their way lower and lower, it took all of her will to say, “I should go…” she moaned. Trying to catch her breath, she finished, “…check on Phoebs.”
“But Piper…” Leo whined. Frustrated, he rolled off of her onto his back and closed his eyes. When he opened them, Piper was on top of him. He couldn’t help but stare at his gorgeous wife. Everything about her was perfect in his eyes.
“Hey,” Piper scolded jokingly, putting her shirt back on, “later okay? I promise.”
Leo sat up, flipping Piper on her back, making her giggle. “But what if I want you now?” he said. He started playfully biting at her ear and growling.
“Do not tempt me. Tonight, I promise.” With that, she pecked his soft, pink lips and tried to get up, but he held her down and tickled her.
Through laughs, Piper tried to shove him off and wriggle her way out, but he was too strong. He finally stopped, kissed her slowly, and reluctantly let her get up.
Piper didn’t want to leave Leo and everything she felt she needed at that moment, but knew she had to make sure Phoebe was okay.
Piper knocked on Phoebe’s door, calling out “Phoebe.” Without waiting for an answer, she opened the door. Upon doing so, she found Phoebe and Cole on the bed, both barely clothed.
“Piper! What the hell are you doing?” Phoebe scolded very loudly.
“I’m checking on you,” Piper answered. She had her hand over her eyes, stumbling backward toward the door.
“Well, maybe next time you should use your hand against the handy dandy little thing called a door and KNOCK!”
“I did knock, but I guess you two were too…ew. Never mind. I’ll be going now.”
“That would be a good idea,” Phoebe replied sarcastically. She turned then to Cole, “I’m sorry, honey. She shouldn—“
Cole put his fingers over her lips to quiet her. “It’s okay,” he whispered. “I’m with you. That’s all that matters. All I need is you.”
“Oh…I looove when you talk like that,” Phoebe replied. She kissed him, and they were back where they had left off before Piper interrupted.

Piper walked back into her room, finding her husband in the same spot where she had left him a few minutes earlier.
“You’re back so soon,” Leo smiled.
“Oh don’t sound so disappointed,” Piper joked and screamed as Leo tackled her to the floor.
“Disappointed? Hardly.” He smiled as he leaned down to kiss her.

A couple hours later, Paige was ready to face more of her past and roots and how she, what did they call it? Orbed? Well, she thought she was ready.
She walked toward the Halliwell Manor but stopped before the front steps. Was she really ready for all of this? The magic stuff would probably be easy to grasp, but the concept of her parents abandoning her was a different story.
She finally worked up enough courage to walk up to the door, but it took her another five minutes to actually knock. Her curiosity got the best of her and mad her stay and wait for someone to open the door.

Upstairs, Piper and Leo were lying in bed, holding each other as close as was physically possible. Piper’s mind was going crazy. As usual, she was over-thinking everything so she didn’t hear the faint knock.
“Piper,” Leo whispered. “Someone’s at the door.”
“Well, why don’t you get it?” Piper snapped, annoyed that she was interrupted from her deep thoughts.
“That’s a good idea, baby,” Leo replied, unaffected by Piper’s attitude. He gave her a quick kiss as he got up. As he put a robe on, he looked out of the window to see who was there.
When he realized who it was, he said, “Piper, I think it’s for you.”
Piper reluctantly got out of the warm, comfortable bed. Throwing a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans on, she didn’t even bother asking who it was because she knew it would just waste time, and plus, she would figure out who it was in about…
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Someone opened the door.
“Paige?” Piper questioned, obviously surprised by Paige who was now starting to slowly make her way down the front stairs.
Paige whipped around at the sound of her name.
“Wow, I didn’t think you’d be back.”
“Well, here I am,” Paige shyly replied.
“Oh…umm…come in, come in,” Piper said, moving out of the way, so her sister could make her way into the Manor.
“Phoebe!” Piper yelled once both women were inside. There was no answer. She said to Paige, “I’m gonna go drag her ass down here so…wander wherever you want; it’s your house too, I guess. I’ll be back.” Piper ran upstairs.
Once at Phoebe’s door, Piper was knocking vigorously, yelling, “Phoebe!...If you’re awake, you’ve got to come out…Dammit, Phoebe! Do I have to call Leo and orb in there?”
Finally Piper heard Phoebe’s annoyed voice yell back, “What the hell do you want?”
“We have company.”
“Can’t you tell them to come back?”
“Are you presentable?”
“Why?”
Piper opened the door. Phoebe expected this and was up and dressed, but Cole was gone.
“Where’s your beau?”
“Don’t know. When I woke up thanks to your screeching, he was gone. That’s mostly why I’m pissed off right now so if I take it out on you, then deal.”
“Okay. But we’ve got to get back downstairs.”
“Why?” Phoebe asked the air because Piper was already gone.
