I write with some friends about fighter pilots that's set in the star trek universe. I chose hmc to rep a character, simply because of the way she *is* with herself and people; nothing fake and her beauty is both inside and out (not withstanding the physical) which comes from her inner strength and choice to be real and not ashamed of being someone in her profession that *hasn't* gotten surgically upgraded or buying into society's whacked out version of what a perfect type a woman should be
