Hey Annie, you are not a screw-up self harmer, what would make you say something like that? People express their feelings in different ways and for some people its harder to deal with than others, that doesn't make you a screw up. And who wants to keep their mouth shut anyways; God gave me a mouth so I intend to use it, you should too. About the self harm thing, my advice to you is very simple, and I don't mean to sound harsh but: STOP IT!! I can asure you, this is a road you do not want to continue going down, as it leads to worse and more dangerous things. If you ever need to talk please PM me, I know what it is like to feel that you have nobody, but sometimes it is better to talk to a complete stranger (which I am), or someone who has been there, done that and now wears the T-shirt with pride! (which I also am). Same goes for anyone else, I am always willing to help anyone who is feeling low since I know what it feels like to hear people, who I have gone to for help simply say things like "Don't be stupid!" or "You're trying to get attention" You should never be ashamed of who you are and if someone tries to make you feel that way,you should not punish yourself, it is them that have a problem, not you. I have now learnt, that to myself I am the most important person in the world, because if I wasn't here then for me the world wouldn't be here either! (I hope that is easier to understand than it looks).

self harm is not the answer and you are NOT NOT NOT a screwup! i know it is hard, holly used to be a cutter (i heard) and she is normal, beautiful and NOT a screwup! if u are clinically depressed (like my sister was) the BEST solution is therapy. i go to therapy because i am a neat-freak, not insane. take my advice, go to therapy, get support from your family, and DONT cut. it doesnt heal pain. it causes pain.

You have taken the first, and probably most important step. You have admitted that you have a problem!!
Listen to the advice you get here!! Reach out and get help. You need someone local a counselor or a professional who can help you get through this and stop the pain!!
Each and everyone of us is special and we all need to remember that we all have worth. Take good care of yourselves and if you need help reach out!!
Let me know if I can help!!

annie, it is very hard to stop, (i have heard) but you never will stop until you decide to get help. do you go to school? go to your guidance counselor!! he/she can refer you to a therapist who can help heal the pain. cutting wont solve anything!! u must listen to julie!! it is very hard to describe to you over a computer but self harm is terrible and NO solution!! my hopes are with you and remember the people here will never judge you, this is a safe community.
